About Hard Water
Hard water is water high in mineral content. Hard water has high concentrations of Calcium and Magnesium. Hard water can form deposits that clog plumbing. These deposits, called "scale", are composed mainly of calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide and Calcium Sulfate.
